Yeah, you get 15 points after you hit 18. 14 and under tickets are 0 points. But yeah, you should be fine. I had 6 points when I was 17 and got my license suspended... dammit, lol. you be fine

2nd is 14 over, so it shouldn't be on your record.

3rd I'd say go to defensive driving, then talk to the solicitor and see what they say. But get your MVR before you do anything, see if anything is on your record currently.

When are you able to talk to the solicitor? Is it before court or do you have to plead not guilty to talk to the solicitor? I've been hearing totally different things.

Oh and yeah take the Defensive Driver course. Just took mine this past Saturday and I've got court on the 27th of August but I don't know how to plead. I just want to talk to the solicitor and pay my fines but get no points on my license.

These 2 are both wrong. If insurance fixes the car, you still have to pay the ticket and its still on your record.

14 and under is 0 points, but you still have the fine and its still on your record.

I just ran my MVR this morning and my record is clean suprizingly(sp). so I guess I'll just take a defensive driving course and pay the fine.

Actually theyre both right, having experienced both I know what I'm talking about. I've had 2 failure to yield tickets that were both dropped because the other party didn't show up to court (their car was fixed by insurance, so they didn't need to come). I didn't pay the fine, didn't get any points, and there is nothing on my record.

And one time I was in court for 2 speeding tickets on the same day, 1 18 over and 1 27 over. Both were dropped to 14 over, I paid the fine, but neither are one my record.

Stil no one has answered my question. When you go to court do you get to talk to the solicitor before you plead guilty or not guilty or do you have to plead 1st? I've heard that you have to plead not guilty then you'll get to talk to the solicitor and I've heard if you plead not guilty they automatically give you another court date for a trial? I'm lost. My case is in Gwinnett County if that helps.

You talk to the solicitor first, then if you guys don't work out a deal, you will then plead. If you plead not guilty then yes they do give you a new court date, because then it becomes a trial case. Depending on how long their backlog is the new case could take a while.

Solicitor is just basically another name for the prosecutor, or the legal counsel for the plaintiff (the plaintiff being the government), in the case against the defendent (you).

No you would talk to the solicitor lol, when you go to check in @ the court, ask to speak with the solicitor about your case.
