he was give or take about 6'1" maybe 180lbs w/spikey guido style black hair. I didn't see the color int. of the car but it had a dual round tips welded on some sort of muffler but the ride height looked huge from the rear.

He also claimed that he had a prelude that was completely built w/turbo running 22lbs of boost and 175 shot of N20. I'm pretty sure he was talking out of his ass though.

yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Ive never seen this guy a day in my life and he just started poppin off at the mouth. I mean, I'm not the type, but you never know when someone is gonna pull a gun out now-a-days.

The thing is, my description of the conversation doesnt even start to describe the elevation that it was raised to. I mean, it was to the point that my adrenaline goin and everything. On top of that, it was me and my friend against this one dude if something were to happen.

You "potentially" could've been in jail for taking this guys life, potentially!

Well handled situation, i don't think it's possible for me to get angry at ignorant people anymore. i just don't get emotionally involved with a lot of things/situations anymore.

too much sht is out of our control to be that way.

Outside of that we all know a lot of bimmer drivers are pricks but its just like anything else, people who think they are a "badass" because of a car clearly have security issues...the driver makes the car not the other way around. In this case the driver embarrassed himself and the car he drives....shame

ps. odds are if his m3 was avus blue he had the Dove interior...it was rare for it to be any other color.
I'm a big BMW fan also. I researched the E36 M3s for 2 years before I could afford to buy one, but then my bank would only loan for 2.5yrs so my payments were gonna be about $800/mo. Thats why I got the G35.

I know what the cars are capable of and though their straight line performance isnt all that great, they handle like a mo fo. Most BMWs really start to shine above 100mph. He claimed to have 300rwhp and I just laughed when he said that. I know they typically dyno @ about 210-215hp stock. You would have to do all sorts of work to get it to 300 in N/A form.

You are right about the Avus/Dove combo being the more common combo, but Im thinking it had black int. but I'm not positive.

You are 100% right. Thinking back on it now, it was stupid of me to even get worked up over the situation but I guess it was one of those "in the heat of the moment" kind of things. Next time something like this happens, I'll just sit back, take a deep breath, rub my ear lobes and "WOOSAAAA" lol

If you lighten the car and have basic bolt ons and a tune(230ish whp) on a 60+roll it'll hang w/a stock 03-04 cobra (with a good driver)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW7W2bxmCA8
    Impressive for a n/a M3.

But your right they are ballin in the curves glad to see your a true enthusiast instead of believing that a certain countries vehicles are greater than another's...its like comparing apples to oranges to peaches....haha

and if that was an Avus on black he's got a rare car...I'd love to have one but not his considering you KNOW it's been dogged lol

Yeah, the 2 cars were built with 2 completely different goals in mind. I would never buy an M3 to drag race, thats for sure. Not saying that it cant be done, just not the platform I would choose to do such a thing.

lol, yeah, not to mention from the way he talked, he knew nothing about cars and I wouldnt want to own something of that caliper when the previous owner only wanted it as a status symbol...

From what I understand if you tune it right a 03-04 cobra is very good on just about any track, and I believe they pull a .9 G on the skid pad...I may be mistaken though

The driver makes the car, the car doesn't make the driver....someone who buys a car for a "status" clearly isn't secure with themselves. It's sad really..

Yeah, I am keeping my IRS because I would like my car to be able to kill it in the curves as well as leave almost everything on the highway. I couldnt really care less if I break into the 11's in the 1/4mi as long as I'm trapping 135ish lol.

You are right about the status thing. But the real sad thing is that A LOT of people buy certain cars for that reason alone.

Always hate to hear stories like this, when are some BMW owners going to realize they have a 10 year old car at best with 240bhp. I guess these are the type of owners we're to expect since the price of E36 M3's isn't all that much these days.

Yeah, I hear you. He was the stereotypical BMW owner though. I know you guys aren't all like that. Shiit, I was gonna get one about 3-4yrs ago and I know I wouldn't have been one of those guys. Just because they are out there doesn't mean all act that way

Haha, I'm trying to get em straight...I'm supposed to be studying for a new certification @ work...and my job(career) depends on it...its basically a college course that I have to teach myself in the next 2 week and pass the exam...and yet here I am. So yeah....still working on those priorities haha

Exactly....I live in Peachtree City...where just about everyone has a Bmw or a mercades...I personally can't stand Mercades but everyone seems to act like they are better than everyone else...

I had that assumption till I met a guy who drive a E39 M5 daily...then one night he pulled up to start bucks in his 97 m3...caged, bolt ons...etc...turns out the guy is cool as hell...couple of months later he got a 02 911 turbo...Caged, "built", slamed, track ready and 650awhp....you'd never know he was an enthusiast and you'd never know he was cool as hell...its just the whole "profiling" thing that I've unfortunately grown accustom to

E39 M5 is the sex but either either that, CTS-V or just a 04 530i 6spd....the 530i will be all around cheaper...gas, maintenance, insurance, price...

your alpine M is HAWT:idb: I would've so taken it off your hands when you were selling it if I didn't have this damn credit card to pay off.

But I need a nice dd for work, so a 04 530i 6speed will be the next vehicle(most likely). Unless I can find a "low mileage" e39 m5 for the same price. haha

    haha Thanks man, 'preciate it.

I'd love to have an E39 M5, but there's no way I could afford it right now.
