    Default So i had a $864 Cell Phone bill*~!ZOINKS!!~*

Now, i have the $99/month *unlimited* plan from cingular. I get something like 1000 anytime minutes, 10000 text messages, free internet, some other crap.

Last month i noticed my bill was $182 (the highest i have ever seen it) and being the baller that i am, just figured i went over on something, maybe it was a late fee, whatever i just paid it.

So i log in yesterday to pay THIS MONTHS cell phone bill. As it logs in i see

    BALANCE DUE: $864

I proceed to instantly poo in my pants. WTF. This is impossible. Someone must have hacked my account and somehow sent a million text messages or something. I check my rollover minutes and i have like 3900+ so im good on minutes.

I go to the DETAILED BILL section and its a $760 charge for INTERNET USAGE. .01 a KB and i had used 760000kb.

    WTF MATE

So i call Cingular/AT&T ready to rip them a new one. First lady i talk to is , for lack of a better term, a dumb fuc.king idiot. She says she has no idea what happened but im responsible for paying it.

I get to the next guy in line, and hes really helpfull.

I recently bought an IPHONE used. I had an AT&T Store activate it for me. Apparently they didnt switch the phone on my account. And Apparently when you get an IPHONE you are supposed to have some mandatory upgrade to some $30.month data plan that i never got. The IPHONEs internet usage is different from regular phones, so i was getting charged out the ass.

He changed everything an wiped the fees out.

    Crisis avoided.

But to everyone out there who buys used IPHONEs, be sure your acct has it listed or you will get FU.CKED. ANd make sure if you unlock it yourself you tell AT&T.

How the hell do you talk on the phone for 16.5 hours a month? I hate talking on the phone so my calls last like 3 minutes each tops.

if yuou buy it used, you either have to have the AT&T store "unlock" it to your phone number and info, or you have to do it with 3rd party software.

Alright well, around 10 am today I was driving north on 575 to townelake. Right before i passed the highway 92 exit, i see a whole bunch of cops driving fast as hell on the south bound side. Then out of no where i see a douche bag driving on the wrong side of the road, heading straight for me. I swerved out of the way and pulled over. It scared the **** out of me. it was a green Toyota Tacoma. Did anyone else see this?

Thats awful funny.....I went through the EXACT same thing last month with cingular/at&t. They said they would waive my charges if I paid $15 a month for internet usage, or they could reduce the charges by 50% and eliminate my internet access completely. I then asked talked to a supervisor which informed me that all previous deals that the person offered me were now off the table. He said they would do an investigation to see if the charges were legit, and if they were, I would be responsible for the bill. The whole thing is, is that I didn't even know I could access the internet with my phone. I have no reason to get on the internet with my phone....I have a computer in my garage, in my house, and at work. I ended up just paying the damn bill, but I am now looking into getting another provider.

That's the plan I have. I've had it since the day they brought it to GA!! It's the best for me. Now I just purchased the Samsung Instinct(Sprint version to the Iphone and I feel just as flossy as you Iphone guys w/ less monthly payments and a ****ton more perks). Sprint's customer service sucks but I don't have a problem w/ anything else!!

I dont work for Cingular and I see alot of Uneducated people.

Cingular/AT&T has a separate plan on top of there Voice Plans.. If you purchase any PDA.. That be a Iphone, BB, BJ, HTC etc.. you have to purchase there PDA plan, which you will get all the unlimited BS like Text, web etc.

I've been with AT&T for yearssssss and never had any issues. Any cost I see on my bill I KNOW I DID or USED.

My Bill every month is ridiculous.. But I already know. ****, I never pay the whole thing..

It will only get you unlimited web/email.

everything is separte now unless you have a older plan or feature, but mike has the old iphone, so once he plugs it up to itunes it should automatically put on the internet/text package that was offered on the old iphones. I believe 20 for unl net/ 200 text, $30 unl net/1500 text

    3g Iphone / PDA data plan - $30 unl net/email or $45 unl net/enterprise email

You're correct about at@t voice plan not including text and net in it. Att unl voice and the same goes for verizon does not include text and net in it. Go to sprint or tmobile if you want your unl voice plan to include text

Julio, why are you paying so much? It'd be cheaper for you to have unlimited everything and not worry about going over. It'd be $150 to have unlimited talk/text/web...unless your making long distance calls

Holy **** i was pricing at&t's current plans, it would cost $150+ to match the same plan ive got through sprint. With Sprint, $99.99 is unlimited EVERYTHING, text, mms, mins, internet, TV, radio etc. Not to mention the fact that since sprint and verizon are the only cdma carries in GA, if you ever lose sprint reception you'll roam right onto verizons massive network.. i dont see how people are still with at&t.

Cell phones suck arse....and so do there plans. So what the fuk can you do about it? But since i have to have a cell, T-mobile wins for me, i have no need for internet and i got 1000 mins plus nights and weekends and unlimited texting plus mobile to mobile and i pay less than $70 a month....

my experience with sprint's customer support has been 100x better than when i had at&t. they screwed me over HARD and cheated me out of quite a bit of money. after fighting and fighting i got them to use the money they owed me to pay off my ETF and i will never use at&t again.

ive had everyone, and CIngular was by far the best.

SPrint had ****ty plans, ****ty phones, ****ty customer service (few years back)

    Verizon- Same as sprint

Tmobile- Had a cell phone break, it was a motorola phone that had this little thing to plug in to charge it at the bottom. Well it had these CLIPS on the plug , well one of the clips broke off. I called TMobile and they said "we get these calls all the time, its a defect, the clips are too brittle, mail us the phone we will mail you a new one". I mailed it in, then i get a $450 charge on my bill for a BROKEN PHONE. I called them and they wouldnt give me my money back. (this was before insurance was around). Pissed me off they didnt even ask me, they just did it, i wouldh ave bought another phone rather than pay $450 for some piece of junk.

Cingular-best service, best plans, then AT&T bought them out. now i have ok service, plans are going up in price etcetcetc

    they ALL suck

I have at&t/cingular, and its the 2nd best I've had...I've had all of them and personally Verizon was the best overall....most expensive but definitely the best.

But At&t has the better phones/plans overall..I'm liking cingular, I'm getting rid of my blackberry curve and getting an I-Phone...

But I definitely feel ya on T-Mobile/Sprint

I make long distance call. I do have the international plan or whatever is called. To get the cheaper per minute calls. But still, I talk to much ..

yea international raoming is still expensive if you do talk a lot, that discounted rate is great in all, but still paying 50 cents a min is still expensive
