I'll play devil's advocate.

+ Sword -- War, World War III (War on Iraq never really ended and is now in Afghanistan. And there are probably other wars going on too that I don't know about.)
+ Hunger -- Famine, clearly on the horizon (3rd world countries were always experiencing this. Just b/c we don't have it doesn't mean no one in the world does. Eventually though, we see it as well. ["We" as in, people who get food from the grocery store.] Just read up on the effects of Genetically Modified foods.)
+ Death -- literally can mean plague, pestilence [Amplified Bible Commentary] (H1N1)
+ Beasts of the field -- Strongs # 2226 -- literally means "living being". This could refer to the many living pathogens about to be released upon the earth, like the Aids virus. Rev 6:8 (KJV)
(H1N1 could apply here as well I guess)

I'm by no way claiming that I'm one of the most educated people on this subject, or the 4 listed above. I'm pretty ignorant but I just threw this out there anyway.
