I autox'd my Spec V when it was stock - and you know what, I could go into a corner slow and then "make up" for it later. I had time to push harder to compensate for an earlier mistake. W/ drag racing, you have ONE SHOT to be right. U blow the launch - in most cases your're done. Questionable shift - DONE. You have to plug EVERYTHING the 1st time...no "fixing it the next turn." Does autox compare to a real road race - H3LL no, but you see what I mean. Is that a knock on road-course guys? Not at all - they are good at what they do. But to say that there is no skill required in drag is an understatement.Originally Posted by EJ25RUN
