    Default Bike + 18 = insurance questions

Im almost considering getting rid of my 94 Civic LX for a street bike or something. Been thinking a Ninja 250 but still un-sure possably even a cruiser. Ive never rode before so Id take some classes/saftey courses whatever I need to do to make sure I stay safe and know what Im doing.

My biggest concern is what is insurance going to run me on a bike being Im 18. My truck is with Safe Auto right now because they were the cheapest. $310 a month for full coverage, Ive got 1 impeading traffic ticket. I know no one but the insurance company will know 100% but just looking for your input.

Edit, any suggestions on a bike for a first time rider? Proabably going for more of a cruiser bike.

liability only. you can do it even on a brand new bike you are financing because its not considered a primary vehicle

I think the formula goes Bike + 18 = Death.... it was something like that.

Don't quote me on it but, 'twas something of that nature.

Nothing to do with you personally. Just a general formula that's been around that's all.

I personally wish you the best with your decision.

Ah. Well Ive rode ATVs and dirt bikes since I was little so I can ride those pretty well. Only thing that really scares me on the streets is other drivers... I crashed my Honda 50R on the street a few months ago, shifted to 3rd and it threw me right off the back

Whats the difference between liability, comprehensive, and collision? I always get those backwards.

PM me for more info, But I wrote the policy for simontibbett thru Nationwide. Since your only 18, you can expect a little higher price on insurance anywhere. But if you only get a 250 and take a safety class, then I could work you up a decent price. Let me know, and I can give you a ball park quote man
