Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the Gallardo. It looks great, performs great, sounds great, and is reliable. So why is that a problem?Originally Posted by EJ25RUN
So what if it has German in it, **** its a better combination in the end anyway. Leave the design of the cars to the Italians, let the Germans take care of the mechanicals.

But I hate mutt cars. VW...seriuosly, if I'm buying a damn Lambo I'd want those Nazis with their ugly cars to stay as far away as they can from it.
I don't want to have an Italian/German car. That's just stupid. Thankfully despite the German ownership, which is sh!tty enough, VW has not overtaken Lamborghini too much.
Bugatti is another story![]()
It needs to be noted that Lamborghini is actually under Audi.Originally Posted by TheGodfather

The most succesful driver at Le Mans of all time, Tom Kristensen. He has won the race eight times.
In 2000, 2001, and 2002 he won the 24 Hours at Le Mans race with the powerful Audi R8 along with Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro, becoming the first three drivers since Jacky Ickx in 1977 to win the race on three straight occasions. In 2003, he won the race with Bentley. In 2004, he equaled Ickx's record of six Le Mans victories in Team Goh's Audi R8. 2005 saw Kristensen win a record seventh time with an American R8 entry. The 2006 race saw Kristensen finishing in third place in the new diesel-powered Audi R10. Kristensen didn't finish the 2007 race following Capello's crash while the car was leading the race by eight laps. But Kristensen returned in 2008 to claim an eighth victory. [3]
The most succesful marque at Le Mans of all time
By far the most successful marque in the history of the race is Porsche, who have taken 16 overall victories, including seven in a row from 1981 to 1987. Ferrari follows with nine, also including six in a row from 1960 to 1965, while Jaguar has seven wins. Bentley, Alfa Romeo, and Ford all managed to win four races in a row, with Bentley recording two other victories in other years as well. Recently the Audi marque has dominated the event, winning in eight of the ten years they have participated. Audi and Team Joest have had two hat-tricks, the first being in 2000, 2001, and 2002.

DD-ing a Ferrari is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If people can't go to the movies in there Honda, what makes you think a super car is going to stand much more of a chance at not getting stolen?Originally Posted by redGT

Because people who own those cars typically wont need to be in an area where the car will be stolen.Originally Posted by bastarling84

Problem #1.Originally Posted by admin
You do realize in 1970 the GT40 was banned by the ACO. Now im not saying that the 917 wasn't gonna be faster.......but the KG Salzburg car that won the race was powered by a 4.5 liter due almost all of the 4.9 litre cars retiring. I think that if the GT40 was allowed to compete for 1 more year. It might have been a different result. I think this because the 1969 G.R. Gt40 had completed 27 more laps than did the 1970 917. Granted different race strategy and possible weather could have slowed the cars but 1970 was still a development year for the 917s.
Problem #2. When Ferrari sold the majority share to Fiat in 1969, under contract the only thing he could participate in fully was Formula 1. That is why the last factory backed Le Mans racers came in 1972.
But yeah, for the most part, the Germans own Le Mans.

Ferrari -- hands down.

See your exactly the type of person I wouldn't want to own a Ferrari. God forbid the odometer on a Ferrari ever saw 100k miles.Originally Posted by bastarling84

Deffinetly Ferrari. I have always admired the quality and fine detail invested into them.
Ferrari. Hands down, and pretty much for many of the reasons that have been mentioned already. Ferrari's motorsports pedigree speaks for itself, imo. Quite a few of their road cars have been homologation specials, rather than cars designed for the street and then modded for the track.
Ferrucio Lamborghini should have stuck to tractors.
I'm Italian and I know both cars are Italian...but you gotta go with Ferrari for their performance and prestige. They have been around for a very long time and created some of the most beautiful and memorable cars.
Also... My last name is Ferrara....Ferrari.....yea...I'm Italian alright.

Damn that just made my choice that much harder. Still say Ferrari.Originally Posted by ironchef

Would not want a F430, but a older Ferrari or something else. Gallardo's are really good daily driven Lambos and exotics, I LOVE Murci's, would choose that over a Gallardo except more $$. Ferrari is more of a race brand, but Lambo screams sex.

Even though I am employed by a relative company of Lamborghini I would take a Ferrari over a Lambo any day. Ferraris are for passionate drivers, Lamborghinis are aimed at Rappers and people with too much money and a small ****.

theyre lucky to even make it to 10k w/o any problems
ferrari has always been about racing cars. enzo built road cars to pay for the race team.
still is to this day.
lambo built tractors then cars.
to me there is no choice ferrari all the way.
-IA MGMT is inappropriate.
the Ferrari is my choice based on looks even though the lambo has more power its just ugly
I like both because they represent different ideas in going about a car.
This thread is kinda lame since none of us have a Lamborghini or a Ferrari. But actual owners are pretty sensitive toward each. I know Jeremy Clarkson owned both.
A Ferrari 355 and a Gallardo.
He sold the 355 but it was his favorite car of all time.
He sold the Gallardo cause he got tired of people looking at him all the time.
Jeremy Clarkson is the man I wish I could be.

F430 vs Gallardo
Porsche GT3 vs F430
These are only two videos of these cars competing so don't get hostile about them. I'm aware a lot of you have already viewed these videos also.
id pick the Ferrari pver lambo but ONLY because they just look better
