I'm a fan of both depending on the car. The utility of a hatch is very nice, though.
This isn't always true. IIRC, the BMW 5-series wagons, either the E34 or E39 chassis, were stiffer in torsion than the sedan. I think the same was true of Volvo's wagons. In fact, Volvo supplied race teams with 740 Turbo wagons for a spec racing series that ran in support of either DTM, or BTCC races (if I'm wrong about the series someone surely will correct me).Originally Posted by Echonova
