Similar kind of thing happened to my roommate when i lived in the dorms of UAB (Birmingham, AL). He got a notice sticker b/c he didn't have his hang tag on the car. He partially removed it. He then parked in another parking lot (an on campus non-university owned for profit dorm which requires different credentials) and was towed. It's like he got warned at target and then got towed at walmart. The company broke into his truck to turn off his alarm and the the subs in his box "fell out during the tow". Best he got was them waiving the storage fee but not the tow and filed a complaint w/ the police dept.
This is the best drama on the internets right now. I can't wait for the next update

APS is threatening legal action and sending him threats telling him to send them his attorney's information... though he hasn't received anything actually written by an attorney. Because of this, he is laying low while he confers with his attorney.
He is continuing to discuss the situation with a variety of news outlets, and as the story spreads it becomes more and more likely that someone is going to pick it up.
He will be back with updates as soon as he gets the okay legally.

Tomorrow, Thursday June 19th, 2008 SHASTA Pools will be notified of Breach of Contract. They HAVE NOT paid the fee and the company truck has been there many days with said boot. They are probably resisting, as it's current state for so long.

I've sent all information regarding photos, a copy of the contract and a *cough, *cough, helpful link to this thread . Informed them I would be a material witness and would help their cause in EVERY way!
Guess what the Shasta Pools truck has NOW on it, that I walked out to give Rick the ID#, IT HAS A WARNING STICKER NOW!!!!! Still has the boot, but all the sudden it has a sticker.
EDIT: STICKER WAS NOT POST MARKED BACK TO THE 16TH.
