There is no BASELEVEL S2k as you say, The car doesnt really have options, Hardtop is pretty much one of the ONLY options (Unless you add lip spoiler and rear wing) but the car pretty much comes with everything for the 34k price, No gimicky add ons like the BMWQuote:

For a fair performance comparison, the $8K more expensive version of the Z4 was used since it was the one most competitive with the S2K in terms of 1/4 mile times and such. Had the comparison involved only price, then the Z4 Base could have be used. However, at that point the S2K pretty much walks away from the Z4 Base in terms of performance. The midlevel Z4 had to be used to compare the performance aspect. When weighing both price and performance (bang for buck) between the two models, you will wind up paying a lot more for a Z4 as to a comparible S2K.Quote:

Yes, you're paying for extra shyt, and some people would rather have all the extras.....I personally enjoyed and felt it was worth paying extra for heated seats, satellite radio, sport springs, and all the other things my car came with.....Some ppl might just need the bare minimum.....It's all up to checkbook and preferences....:goodjob:

In all reality 98% of S2000 sales will be the "BASE MODEL" which might as well be the only model
