I face this every time I sell a car. I love everyone of my cars and treat them like my children but when i sell them I don't ever want to see the car again because I know they won't take as good care of them as I will.
I miss my 91 Mustang GT Convertible but I know if i was to soee it now it wouldn't be in the same condition. I would hate to think it was just sitting in a back yard or somethin'.
Just sell it to the fartherst away person you can find.
Had a friend in HS that had a just gorgeous 68' Camera Black with Black leather, totally restored. He sold it to someone locally so he could buy a Jeep. He saw it 3 years later in that same guys back yard, it was wrecked and RAGGED out, almost totalled from neglect. He bought it back and is still trying to bring it back its former glory. It was such a beautiful car too. It's a shame.
My Dad had a PERFECT 78' Trans Am with a 400 big block and it was beautiful Black. He was going to give it to me and then thought it was too much power for a 16 year old so he sold it. The kid that bought it, wrecked and totaled it 3 days later.
Sell your car and don't look back. It's hard because of all the work you put in it,but when you make the decision to sell it you also need to make the decision to let it go on all levels.
