The problem with the nigga thing is the same isue with calling people gay awhile ago. Some people used to hate being called gay becuase it was derrogatory; homesexuals then turned it around because anyone could say gay and it didn't bother them. This took away power from the bigots. Now did they go through hundreds of years of discrimination? No (hell for awhile, man on an action was considered to be the highest form of expressing love). The problem with that lies in the fact that blacks CLAIM to say they are using that word to take away the negative implications (like homosexuals)but then won't let whites use it. If they don't then that will never happen. Hell some minorities have been hit by artists on tour in other countries for using it. On the flip side of the coin, some white people say it and you can't tell if they are joking or serious.

Personally I have hit lot's of people that called me that shit. Black or White. It will be a long time before that word gets disarmed. There are lot's of other reasons why but you get the general idea with with I typed...I hope.
