    yeah i stopped at the exxon of of pleasentdale, and those son of a b!tches had premium at $4.50. i was so pissed off, but i had to buy gas b/c i was almost out. damn you exxon

    They were not making any money due to Competetion.. DUH...

    We better thanks companies like, QT, Racetrac , Pilots etc.. That have a stroing inside store presentation and sales that keep these gas stations going.

    QT, Racetrac and Pilot depend really on there inside sales in order to make a real profit. Believe me when I tell you, FOR A FACT QT and RACETRAC are making jack **** of FUEL sales right now.

    Lol I thought that was obvious. Gas stations only make a very small profit on the actual gas they sell. So when people go to other places that are more convenient to get gas it hurts.

    heh well we can't all be know it all's i just thought that was interesting. I never use exxon anyway so why would i know or give a damn? I do know QT makes a killing off of in store sales both my roomates work for them i just thought that they at least made a profit of gas that was worth something ya know? So how about one of you genius OG's break it down as to how that works?

    oil companies maybe making record profits (i.e. Exxon Mobil) But they're profit margin's are nothing compared to other industries. the whole reason they were able to post record sales for the first quarter of last year was because the number of transactions they did in it of itself was a record.
