You may just have to read the technicality of it to see where the answer lies within your question. If you're parked on the street facing the wrong way, you had to have driven the wrong way down that street or lane. You made an illegal maneuver thus resulting in a wreck. If you hadn't made the maneuver in the first place and just parked in the direction you drive, then you would have been driving legally and would have been in the right. It's all technicalities. I think you're arguing the more technical aspects of the issue than I am.
If the car is parked in a spot, taking up the same space and facing any direction, I can't really see it as being able to be faulted with the accident of some idiot that hits said parked car.
