Where do these trends start exactly?
And who decides that it's popular?
I'm NOT expecting a real answer to this question but I have noticed some eTrends over the years that i thought were "IA only." Then I noticed the WHOLE Interent embracing them.

"Win" can also be used as a verb.
"I'm going to win!"
Also, internet lingo doesn't follow your precious laws of grammatical correction. Nice try though.
Your Post = For The Lose
yes, but in this case, it needs to be used as a noun to be gramatically correct. When you say "for the win", you're saying for the win... implying that said win is used as a noun.Originally Posted by Ran

Sorry man, but it's "For The Lose". It always has been. Learn to adapt.

It's as credible as any other source on the net. Again, whether grammatically correct or not, is has always been "For The Lose" and it always will be.Originally Posted by GKtib®

Most of those phrases came from 4chan and/or somethingawful.com.
GKtib, Nate is right - it is "for the lose", practically nothing coming from either of the above sites is grammatically correct. It has always been for the lose, people who fail @ teh interbutts are the only ones who thinks it means for the loss.
We're discussing internet lingo, not ebonics. GTFO NaggerOriginally Posted by PBS
