20... 5'9" and i'm a skinny ass mofo. real hard to gain any kind of weight for me.
i've been trying to come up with a response, but... what do you say to that? what a lame thread.
b18hb i feel ya man...im 18 about to be 19 and weigh 135....i can work out and eat right foever and not see any gain. I even drink all the time and never see any gains from the beer either. The doctors say its just temp. for me though, and it will catch up to me sooner or later![]()
share your diet secret...took my 2 years to gain 5 lbs, seriously...
basically... cut out most junk, and eat foods that are higher in protein (beef... turkey, eggs, tuna, peanut butter) you could even get a protein supplament like whey poweder if you wanted, but i haven't really seen a need for it... cept maybe immediately after workouts.
combine a similar diet (check out mens health... there is so much specific info there that you can taylor to your body frame/goals) with a good full body workout (maybe 30-45 mins, 4 times a week) and you should start to see some results.
multivitamens might not be a bad idea either.

Thats great man. I'm also a hard gainer in the gym. I have started a new diet in mid January and its really been helping me out. It sounds difficult but you get use to it after a while. I've gained 17 pounds in a matter of 2 1/2 months. I started at 160 and i'm now at 177. Keep up the good work!
Swifty
thanks dude... i think the change in diet has been a big contributor to my progress. most people don't realize that choice of food affects the the outcome of a workout quite a bit.
heres some good info. Sounds like your an Ectomorph. Let me know if you have problems viewing this.
Its really good info. I was the opposite. I am trying to lose weight. By following this and what I've read in M&F, I was able to go from 195lbs to 140lbs in about 6 months.
