It's "good" at best. The animation quality is solid and the soundtrack isn't bad if you like jazz/blues, but the series itself is very episodic and goes pretty much nowhere aside from the final few episodes. I did find the drama between Spike, Vicious, and Julia to be interesting, but there was just too little of it. They could have taken that aspect of the series and gone a lot further with it. I will admit final episode was very good. By combining the action and sentimental music, it really set the tone for the finale. Also, the song "Blue" is by far one of my favorite anime tracks of all time. It's just a shame that the didn't do more of the same throughout the series.

Yeah, but it's kinda like House in that respect: Every day he seems to get this incredibly rare, supposedly incurable disease in one of his patients, and most of the time they come out smelling like roses. But you don't really watch House for the medicine, you watch it for the dynamics between the characters, usually House and the person who's pissing him off at the time. That's essentially for the same reason to watch CB: sure there are some nice fight scenes, and the soundtrack is worth buying on Amazon, but you watch it to see how the people get along with each other, usually Spike and whoever he's trying to catch.

That's not a very good analogy to use for reinforcement considering that House has come to be very repetitive and boring in it's own right as well.
