What he did was wrong, yes, but I don't think he should lose his livelihood over it... I'm pretty sure that business puts food on the table for his family.

But if i were to speculate, the salesman, no matter how rude/ignorant/obnoxious the customer was... Handled the situation COMPLETELY WRONG. If he was seriously offended, he could have just declined his offer and told him to go on his merry way. If he refused to leave, call the authorities to make him leave... simple as that.
BUT doing some sh!t like that not only is extremely unprofessional, its just retarded... Surely someone in that business is used to customers of that sort anyways (of all businesses in the US, a used car salesman would be IMO the one profession that is the MOST open for haggling w/ prices... not saying he should have accepted it, just that he shouldn't have opened a car lot if he didn't want to get lowballed)
But yeah... i don't know for sure if he actually laid a hand on the kid, but regardless he was acting way out of line. (i'm sure the kid got out of the car for a reason)

Nothing wrong with negotiating and the OP has a right to haggle. Not sure why Ron went off according to the OP, maybe he had a bad day or maybe he's used to people interested in his RSXs to waste tons of his time. As one that works in a sales/service environment, too many customers today just think they are ENTITLED to something. Too many are angry or agitated and disrespectful and then expect you to just sit there and "be professional". Customers have changed.

I am so glad I work for a good reputable (sp) new car dealership. We don't have people come in and try to haggle prices, and all of our salesmen are the most respectable of people. I would never buy from a "buy here, pay here" place, just because of my expirence in the car industry. I have over 3 years in the dealership game, and I am only 20. Most of the cars I have ever seen in "bh/ph" place is complete crap. We sale all of our trade in's to wholesalers the same day, so we don't have the problem of broke asses coming in and trying to get lower prices. Also, we kiss the customer's ass, we make them feel as if they are family. I guess that's why we have been at the top of customer satisfication for Chevrolet dealerships around Ga in the eastern divison. Sorry for my rambling, and I know my point is ------------------------------------------------over here--->, when it should be <-h-e-r-e. So, I don't think Ron was in the right, the customer is the NUMBER 1 priority, make them happy. It can take just one unhappy customer, and you're ruined. Nor, do I think the OP was in the right, for yelling out to other potential clients. Just a bunch out immaturity from both parties......I AM DONE WITH MY RAMBLINGS.....

I decided to Visit my buddy Ron and find out whats up after I saw this thread. RONs AUTO SALES still supports this site and is a current sponsor. Thats why I wanted to see whats up.. Plus RON is a real nice man..
Now... I saw the video from the lot.. all I can say, good thing there's 2 sides to every story.
In this case BiH1320 is full of poop.
Only reason RON got like that is because you can clearly see the kid running his mouth from a few steps away for a few minutes yelling something .. couldnt tell, no AUDIO
You can clearly see Ron pointing to the streets aparently telling the kid to leave... But the kid still kept yelling something...
At some point, Ron got pissed and got in the kids face...
The Kid ( BiH1320 ) has been to the lot before and always had something negative to say about RONS auto sales.
Im in the customer service business myself... and BiH reminds me of one those customers that comes in and always complains to get/try for free...

oh and i also read that there were privacy laws which that may be true to the actual inside of the building but there is no expected privacy out on the lot in the open in the eye of the public. so those camera's/vids can be shown.

Story sounded fishy from the start, this kid prob thought he could low ball or haggle down Ron, an when Ron didnt back down he got all pissy.

I bought my sc300 from a dealer, i tried to lowball him of course, he knew the game, we agreed on a price that was fair. He didnt take any disrespect an i didnt either. But some people can negotiate without being a **** , some cant.
I see nothing wrong with what Rons did so far, unless compelling videos surface showing definite malice on Rons part, this is simply a kid being an attention whore an throwing a temper tantrum over not getting the car he wanted.

even if thats so Ron still should have been the professional one and asked him to leave. if he then refused he shouldve called the cops, there is no excuse for him to get that tone of voice and Ron also obviously walked to his(B=whatever the rest of his name is) car. as soon as Ron saw him heading to his car Ron shouldve just walked away.

One semi off-topic thing that I would like to add: Improper grammar or spelling does NOTHING to make people take your posts seriously; I don't care the excuse. If you have something that is going on that prevents you from properly expressing yourself, you need to wait until you are able to say exactly what you mean. Call me an elitist or whatever, but I believe the way you type/speak reflects on your intelligence. Especially in these "he said, she said" situations, being coherent means the difference between people thinking twice about what they've been told and just writing you off.
Other items of interest:
• Julio, I'm impressed that you used the resources available to you to make sure you got the whole story.
• I predicted the footage would not be available. Yes there are privacy concerns, but they can be addressed.
• Without commenting on this particular situation, in business you have to deal with irate/irrational customers without losing your cool. Is that fair? No. But it's life, and just like a lot of other things if you want to succeed you're going to have to learn deal with people you don't want to deal with. As a person, you want to get angry. As a salesperson, you know that that is unproductive.
• It's unfortunate that Ron was in a shouting match in front of other customers; no good can come from that. However I don't really think that this thread will make or break him; people who can actually afford to buy cars generally aren't in the WL. I'm sure he gets some sales from this site, but not enough to be really concerned about it. Some people in this thread were perceptive to the fact that most of his customers will never hear or read about this thread; no one cares what these kids are whining about, because until they actually have money to spend they have NO TANGIBLE EFFECT on the businesses they bash. No matter how many other poor, narrow minded people think the same way.
• I love how many people on IA think they know a ton about various topics and set out to post like they are the definitive source of information for us. Stupid people will believe anything you tell them, and are easily swayed. I'm sure there are people who respect you, and I'm sure there are people who see right through your garbage. Some of you just haven’t been around the real world long enough to be talking about “life experiences” you've had. It's easy to act knowledgeable on the internet isn't it?
