    I like the para-ord carry models, or Kimber pro-carry models. They are 1911 style, which means that reliability will never be an issue. The para-ord models are avaliable in double stack models (10+1 round .45, 12+1 round 9mm). They are heavier than glocks, but the extra weight will help you hold onto it when you fire it.

    If you want to conceal I would look at something like a sig sauer p232. It's a lot easier to conceal than a .40 glock or . 40 s&w. It's only 17oz, and it's .380, so you don't sacrifice much stopping power. Especially if you have hollow points.
