Making a car fast is just a combination of money, math, and experience. It's not like Jason_STi or Dan or anyone has some sort of special sauce or magic fairie that waves a wand and says 'Kablam! Ur car is teh fastar!!111!one!eleven'

Oddly enough, once you get an "exotic" of sorts, nobody really cares anymore about trash talking. We buy them for the cars; the love of the cars. I've got friends with "cheaper" Ferraris, expensive Porsches, and very nice Lambos. Nobody cares who is "faster" as we don't race in a straight line around the city. That isn't important to us. Some of us track the cars, others only drive them on sunny days. It's a totally different, and more mature mindset. I must say, this has been very entertaining. I'm still waiting for the "Tuner Showdown" that was discussed a while back. I've met Matt, Dan, and Doug and all of them seem like nice guys alone, but Jesus will this bullshit ever die? Both TS and BG are repectable tuners, why cant we leave it at that! When my warranty is up on my sti, i will prob go to TS, just because i know where it is and they have been great host at dyno days. Plus i have road with Dan, so i see what they are capable of. Will dan's car last? I dont know, only time will tell.

I wasn't there and didn't care to go to a car show as I was at a track (with turns) streatching my legs so to speak but I would bet money that the people in question that said Jason was talking shit, if that was even said, was referring to all the posts he makes on this site, just like the one that started this thread, and not actually talking shit at the show like some seem to be thinking.

Well I got the passoword to Vizible Notionz personal thread. These guys were putting me down, saying my car was stock, and that I couldn't afford or pay for ANY mods on my car. Even the OWNER of TS had to open his big mouth and give his two cents. I don't care who he is or what he has.....
Also Tray had to say "I came out of a Fast and Furious movie cause I wouldn't pop my hood" to show the TS guys. If you watch those movies Tray those guys are all flashy about their engines and what not. Before you open your HOLE(lol) get your info right and don't attack me behind my back. There's people watching out for me on this site.

Before I knew anything about Batlground....I was shopping around for a shop to do my work. I didn't know Tracy or Dan.....I wasn't there friends or anything but they TREATED me great. I didn't know harldly anything about cars at that time and Dan sat down with me for over 2 hours or more and explained to me everything I needed to get more power and how its works. He didn't put me down or laugh when I asked simple questions....there's nothing negative I can say about them. They were true professionals and their work says it all.....thanks again Dan, Tracy, and Brandon....oh and Mike....oh and the people that don't work for BG....Matt(Big Baller) and Jeremy(Baller) and Daniel(iloveboost).

I went to TS when they had a EVO dyno day at the start of the year. My friend was getting tuned. I NEVER heard of TS before so I went with there with no problem and I was kind of interested that they worked on STI's. Well big mistake..... I can say Doug was the ONLY NICE guy there that works for TS....but the rest of them were all jerks and they put me down ,telling me that I couldn't put a GT35r on a stock block sti and they laughed and made fun of me. Putting me down cause I didn't have any knowledge of cars. Then they laughed at me when I told them I might be going to Batlground to get my work done there. They said "why do you want to got to a shop that only does Supra's and 240's?" Then they started bashing Batlground and putting them down. I was getting really pissed at that point. The owner just sat there with a big smile on his face....just letting his guys have fun......but again...DOUG didn't say anything negative to me.
That night at TS really pissed me off and I will never go there again. This is why I don't like them or even the owner of TS. The owner claims to be a business man.......I don't think so....I just see a JERK and nothing more than that......

I've had them do my work up to this point but the only people I've honestly been impressed with are Porter and Doug.
Beyond that, I'm sorry your experience wasn't good, and I think you did what was best: You let your wallet do your talking for you. Batlground treated you better, so you gave them your business.

Well, knowing what he does for a living, and working for the same company, I probably have a general idea of what they pay him.
But of course, there's any number of mitigating factors, like day-to-day expenses, bills, debts, and supplemental income (like a stock portfolio).
Heck, Bellsouth has pretty excellent yearly bonuses, and since he's probably CWA, it's likely better.
None of it is my business. I've just become amused lately as I've observed the scene for a while, and see the number of people who are broke 90% of the time but have $30,000 cars with thousands more invested in them.
If Jason's not one of them, kudos to him.
