It was a serious question. But on IA, with all these posters that post just to watch their count go higher, you have to pick and choose what subjects to bring up. And where to put them. If you would have put this in a more appropriate section, you'd have a better shot at a normal thread. The attention jockeys don't go into sections that require thought and an IQ. Later, QD.

Ok- for those of you who have had a divorce- how long before you started going out with your peoples and meeting the opposite sex?

I myself am stuck in a rut. Due to everyone apparantly getting divorced in GA State, our court date for the Judge to sign our stuff isnt until the end of the month and we put in the paperwork March 1st. But already moved out in February. We were married a VERY short time, and the relationship has been over for some time.

So, how long before you said screw the world and what they say, and hit a bar with some friends to meet new people and make new friends?

a divorce takes 30 days from the time that you submit the paperwork to the courthouse. that is a standard waiting period no matter what. it took exactly 30 days for my divorce to go thru. Filed in December final in March. I have been divorced for over a yr now. I was also told that it is up to the judge on whether or not they sign the papers right away.
