Yes it was me that posted the first "heated session". HOWEVER, let me make a few obvious pointers here.

#1) If you don't have experience in doing something, either a) practice it and become good enough to offer the service or b) don't charge someone an arm/leg for being a "test rabbit".

#2) I have owned my own business and honestly I would have never let something leave my store looking like that knowing my name/shop was all over it.

#3) I really felt that the second time Justin took the car in, all would be ok, but again it wasn't.

Now with all this said, yes I came at Bucky all wrong, but the reason I didn't do it in PM's is because I didn't want to hide anything. I have been painting cars and interior pieces for people for almost 15 years (Yikes my age is showing) and to charge that kind of money for that type of job is not right. That's how I feel and I didn't want to hide that from anyone. Bucky may not like the way I came at him, and honestly if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't like it either.......but if you are going to offer a service that you aren't familiar with or if it doesn't reflect what your other work does...then the same price shouldn't given. Anybody who has ever painted anything recently should know how much paint costs....especially for a car as small as a Sol...and there is a lot of I suppose "labor" built into that 1g.

But the key to a good job is patience and taking your time....a good paint job can't be rushed and can't be slapped on it and it all be good. Prep is key.

Regardless of what happened, I will apologize to Bucky AND to Justin for butting in where I shouldn't have been, but since I have experience in painting.....I honestly felt like Justin was being taken. If Bucky makes the paint right, cool....if Justin has to wait for me to do it....cool. I just know like alot of people have said, he has been dropping a lot of money into the car and he just wants it to be nice....and I can't blame him. I will also do whatever I can to help him acheive that as well.

So in conclusion....I think I have covered all that I wanted to say, if I missed anything, I am sorry.....Im trying to type all of this while I watch my 1 year old tear up my office!!

I was going to smart guy....but I have a 1967 Mustang that is getting a full restoration and "color change" in my garage right now! Oh and don't forget fulltime job and family....but that's just little things that get in the way, huh? Justin wanted it done before I was able to get to it so he had Bucky do it.

WOw this gets better i might need to stick around 1st of all i got a ? how old or u...ANd i am not even going to look at your profile.but i am going to say u might be in your mid 30's if so seem like u would of been more professional about the way u delt with it on top of it not being your car or your business that was on the line. OH!! and 1 more thing i dont care about how u brought it out to me it was bashing a sponser of the site and that is against the IA rules so how are u going to raise kids to follow rules when u can't follow them yourself just a man to man ? even thoe i am alot younger than u

Yeah...im in my 30's and I stated I came at him wrong. You are right, it wasn't my car or my business........I was just trying to help out a friend. As far as my family goes....how about you stay off that subject, man to man.
