I mean I understand but have you ever driven a stock 2.7 911? Slow as ****. Plus the headstuds crack and a decent stock rebuild for "moderate" performance at best will cost 5k plus to do it right.Quote:

I was never a fan of cross branding either. But given the fact its either slow 911 or quick FD. Hmmm how about a quick old 911? When you go for a ride and you are thrown in your seat, you aren't thinking "Well too bad this isnt an air cooled 2.7" you're thinking "HOLY **** I CANT STOP SMILING!"
Lolol. I see where you're at with this. And I can only imagine the quickness it has now over stock. And I wouldn't be a fan of old school Porsches if I hadn't ever driven one (lolol). And I'll say it one more goddamn time.....overall props. Lolol. Later, QD.Quote:

go check out pelicanparts for more info and I believe there is another website for early 911's.

Nice car man! Looks to be in great shape and was a good find. You don't see a lot of 70's 911's in that great of a shape. While I'm also on the other side with the swap, no one is knocking it dude. Yes it may be faster, but there's a feel and sound to an old 2.7 or any factory Porsche for what it's worth. Some people would never trade that for anything else and you should just respect that. They don't have to explain themselves and neither should you! Enjoy the car!
If you don't mind sharing, what power is it making?
I think there are enough folks in here to gather a little Porsche meet one of these days. I'm up for it.
hey i'm coming to your house and stealing your integra... :ninja:Quote:

^Jason,
My car has no flares so I can't really pull them off. This car wants 17 inch 993 turbo twists in black and the small duckbill wing. Think Martini racing.
BTW, If you know anybody with the wheels for cheap give me a pm anybody.
In fact I was thinking the phone dial 944 wheels would be cool since its a rotarty dial... ;)
hahaha, the phone dials would be funny...i say turbo twists definitely!Quote:

Wow, I was not expecting the rotary in the back.
Congrats on the new ride.
my godfather picked up a sc this past xmas.. he is restoring it right now, 100% original.. can't wait to go joyriding through paris this summer.. and your right, its expensive.. hopefully i will see your car at a meet, i really want to see/hear it..
Old Porsches are fun with some decent power behind it. The looks of a Porsche, the speed of a Corvette, the weight of a Honda, the sound of an RX7. I would have been satisfied driving it stock, for a while.Quote:

I would love to put this one out on the course I just want annother radiator fan first. I dont have any problems but the low speed stuff may need it. I have plenty of head room with a helmet now too. :DQuote:

I need to put some Redline Boost cooler in the water to air and pick up the autopower 4 point for the rear targa section.Quote:

Those are the 993 Twists. Have you looked at the 996 twists?

nice
I like the 993s better. Only thing is that I would need crazy spacers since this is a narrow body car and maybe even flares. I dont want Fuchs but I dont know what other factory wheel to put on it that just bolts up.Quote:
