You ought to know well enough that there are lots of things that you can do to change it up inside of the IT industry without having to leave it. That way you can still use your education and experience to the maximum benefit. I personally got burned out on general IT stuff until I starting training people. I get to travel quite a bit, which can be a good or bad thing. I get to constantly meet new people, do different stuff, etc... I have found that my little niche doesn't get nearly as boring because it really changes from day to day. Be careful with too much "job hopping" though. I know it isn't always your fault, but a lot of companies tend to look down upon it.
