    can a 16/17 yr old buy their own car and title/register and get insurance? or do they have to get a parent.

    i bought my first car, got the title and registration in my name...only thing i don't know about it the insurance since that was in my dads name, this was also 6 years ago though.

    all I know is we are not allowed to sell a car to a 17 yr old however I do know you can be listed on the tiltle and Regestration as long as you are listed with a parentor guardian

    untill 18, you must have parent on the title.
