Damn those ignition control modules are pricey. If you havent already you can just get it tested at Advanced to make sure its alright.
I used to have an MSD on my old civic... and i ended up taking it off. I didnt have an external coil and i ended up melting my stock one.lolol but when i took mine off i just pulled off the screws in the distributor from where the wires ran to and plugged the hole that i drilled in my stock cap to run the wires. so i had an easy fix.
