LOL! Read and write? ****ing hell....you have a LONG way to go. I've been learning japanese for nearly 3 years now, and I'm far from fluent.
Try Pimsleur, it helps with Japanese, but I'm not sure if they have it for Chinese. Mandarin right?
i remember reading an ad in fkin time magazine about some program... lemme hit the bathroom up brb
lol the ad had like a dude who met some italian supermodel and he was a peanut farmer or something and its like... ____ software = only way to impress her
its not in TIME magazine, i guess its from car and driver
i threw that one out already... lol
I hear Rosetta Stone is the way to go these days. Not cheap, but I hear it's the best.

x2 for rosetta stone. ive looked at the trial versions of it and it seems to be really good. also the fact that the government uses to train people foreign languages is pretty good.Originally Posted by Deke
I have Pimsleur here, and can give you a copy. My wife speaks/reads/writes Mandarin, so she can probably give you some pointers as well.Originally Posted by d-ninja
I've download podcasts from I Tunes to learn mandarin. It's free. Won't help you with the writing part though.
Here is the guys site that produces them. http://www.melnyks.com/
Can I get a copy?Originally Posted by David88vert
Rosetta Stone is the best. It uses immersion for you to learn very quickly. They have it for every language possible.
