I disagree, since the "rep threads" ended, this system went back to giving rep to those that deserve it. It could also show new members on the site who knows what they are talking about....(unless your street~speed :D )

i cant say 100% of my 1500 came from true good posts but i can say 90-95% did.

I think if reps were used in such a way that people gave them out to other people who deserved them for an intelligent or useful post, then all would be fine. But, both you and I know that's not the case. I don't like useless reps, like this thread for example. However, I don't think all reps are bad though.
