    Maybe a pistol grip and butt for the AK or some extra mags? Maybe something for the 30-06?

    For what? Self defense? There are plenty of good ones XDs, Glocks, Sigs, H&Ks. The important thing is going to rent one and making sure it fits your hand and you are accurate with it.

    Man, I ALMOST bought an AR yesterday. Looked at Stag, DPMS, and just an upper from Bushmaster. All 20", all chrome lined, 1:9 or 1:7 twist...opted against it for getting a truck when I return home from Parris Island...and + military discounts. I'm so friggin' torn, I want one so bad, but I know it's in my best interest to wait. God...this must be what sand in a vagina feels like...

    Well, the upper halves I was looking at were sitting at about 500$, give or take...the fulls were...800-1000.
