8 teens arrested in car-egging case

FAIRFIELD TWP. — Two carloads of teens were having a smashing good time, egging 43 cars and using two-way radios to “compare notes on what subdivisions they had hit and how many cars they got,” said Police Chief Richard St. John.
Ultimately, the alleged vandals' technology was used against them as police cracked the case.
Once police caught the first car, “they had the kids call the other car on their two-way and tell them to come over there,” Chief St. John said.
Eight boys, ages 14 to 16, were arrested. They are scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court on Monday. Each is charged with eight delinquency counts of criminal damaging and eight delinquency counts of possession of criminal tools.
Although the Jan. 4 vandalism might be viewed as a youthful prank, Chief St. John estimated that the teens caused tens of thousands of dollars' worth of damage.
The teens were released to their parents in Fairfield and Fairfield Township. When caught, they had 14 dozen eggs, police said.
Officers in Liberty Township and Fairfield were investigating whether the teens may have been responsible for similar incidents, Chief St. John said.
Chief St. John said he could not recall a group of youngsters using such sophisticated means to coordinate vandalism.

Police Catch 14-Year-Old Egging Cars, Strip Him to Underwear and Dump Him in Swampy Area
New York: Police officers Thomas Elliassen and Michael Danese from the 122 Precinct are being investigated by the Internal Affairs Bureau after they reportedly forced a young offender to strip to his underwear and abandoned him in a swampy area.
According to the officers they only meant to scare him and by the time they returned for him he had walked to a shop and called his parents. The teen, 14-year-old Rayshawn Moreno had been caught egging cars on Staten Island.
The boy's father, James Hezel, said that the two officers were both white and he believes his son was targeted because he is black. "He is shaken up. He is scared. He is terrified," Hezel said.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A 14-year-old boy who was throwing eggs at cars along with two other teenagers was shot and killed by someone who had been in a sport utility vehicle that was hit, police said.
Danny Crawford was killed by a gunshot wound to his upper body, Franklin County Coroner Brad Lewis said. He died in an alley on the city's west side early Saturday, authorities said.
The teens were throwing eggs at cars when an SUV that was struck chased them, Detective Tim Huston said. The vehicle stopped and several gunshots were fired, he said.
Police were looking for the shooter, who fled in the SUV, Sgt. Dana Norman said. The SUV believed to be involved was found a short time later near where Crawford died.
The other teens were not hurt, police said.

Well here is the story.
Me and couple of members from IA decided to buy alot of egs and egg passing cars. We went on this little hill, where we threw eggs at passing cars. We threw alot of eggs on alot of passing cars, and about 3 cars stoped, uncluding a 18 wheeler truck.
Once we saw that these cars have stoped, we drive off in 3 different cars. After about 10 minutes we drive back down that rode, and thats when we see alot of lights flashing in front of us. As we got closer we see that cops had blocked the rode. But we managed to get by with out being searched.
We had such a good night.
After that, we went to some random neigborhood and egged peoples houses and cars.
