    And it holds EVERYONE back.

Do you honestly think making innocent people fill guilty helps anything?

All insults aside, please explain to me how "enduring" Black History Month affects you personally? How does it affect society in a negative manner?

If you care to have a proper debate, insults will be left out on my end as they should be on yours....

I read this essay and while I do agree with the general premise, I still fail to see how it is that BHM or its intentions are harmful to our sociey.....

Like someone stated before, the only real significant part blacks play in textbooks are that of slaves or something relating to slavery...

Historically, blacks have had more of an impact in the growth and the success of this country beyond slavery.

If BHM is to be gotten rid of, black history as pertaining to how we have impacted America, should be included in textbooks, and not just be something that people are forced to look at one month out of the year.

Edit: Not only have blacks been left out of textbooks but so have Asians, hispanics, italians, and many other ethnic groups that have helped to shape this country into what it is now.....
