You act like a set of cams on a stock motor actually makes a huge difference in a straight line. Maybe with a proper tune but changing the torque curve way up while loosing all bottom end and adding minor ponies up top isn't going to do much from a low speed roll or a drag race unless that drag race goes on into the triple digits. Its more useful for high rpm corner exits or long periods of time floored. The fastest 1/4 mile times for E36 M3's N/A U.S spec in the country are un cammed cars running low 13's with full interior and 12's with weight taken out. Mine may be an exception because it actually makes torque because its tuned right but its going to be hard to beat a 13.6@101 with peak torque all the way up the rev range.
