Getting old...

i'd have to say, even though chronologically i'm going up....my energy level has only decreased slightly due to smoking, which blows..but that's a consequence of a choice i made young. but overall in terms of "feeling old", i dont. nobody should.

I don't feel old physically, and I'm told all the time that I don't
look my age.....I do feel old however when I interact with ppl that are in their early 20's...It's like, "I was there once."

lol!! that's true! 'cause talking to the early 20 crowd, you are hit with flashbacks of what you were doing at that age! even people 2-3 years younger than myself i know exactly what i was up to at their age.

but what about the peeps that you know that are older than yourself, if you know any, that you talk to and might even be cool with and when you mention your impending age they are like "pssst....dont even go there, you've got plenty of time man, shut up i'm almost 40...." but they dont even look close to that age!

hell!! i ran into a chick yesterday that i would'nt talk to when i was 16 cause the was ummmmmmmmmm.....12!! and had that stupid "crush thing" going on, why was she like "yeah i'm 25 now! you put a little weight on but gawd still look the same ~lusty google eyed look~! got kids?"
i was still trippin on the fact that:
1) she was a cute kid, now she's a fine ass chick, like i expected...
2) had it been THAT LONG!!??
3) REFER TO #1

but i answered her question and then had to be pro-fidelity and eliminate any opportunity for poundage delivered by asking her the same question.."got kids?"

"yeah 2, but i'm single."

me: "hmm, that's nice....i dont, and i'm not. well i'll see you around how ya momma doing? that's good...holla!"

Nah, I was at a friends house and she and I were about to go out. So Im standing near the door, and this girl walks thru the room, she's like "Hey whats up, how you doing?".....uh I'm good?

So my friend comes in, and I'm like "Ashley, who's that girl that just walked into the kitchen?" I'm thinking it's like, a cousin of hers I'd never met.

She says "Who Carmen?" I said "...ha, hmm!"

Carmen is her little sister, she's 20 now but damn she was like 12 forever. 20 and fiiiiine, and 20 is super legal but...she's 12 lol. It's difficult for me to see her differently.

I know exactly what you're saying...I have a few friends that are a
little older than me and they always give me shyt because I've been making a big deal about turning 30.


I admit to myself that I was getting older when my younger sister graduated
college, because there is a significant age difference.
