the mustang GT actually pulls high 13's. but i agree.

oh I'm sure it's very capable, with a good driver. My point was that must people who drive them can't ****ing drive, but automatically assume that they are michael schumacher, wait, most mustang drivers don't know who that is, ..... they assume they are dale earnhardt and can beat anything out there that wasn't made in the good ole US of A.

My buddy drives a V6 GT Tib. I drove one a while back and loved the sound of them with just an intake. However, I vowed I would never own a FWD vehicle again.

Love Mustangs. Used to have one. IMO the new body style is the best one since 1970. I'll probably own another one some day (another classic).

People don't like them for the same reason they don't like Honda Civics, they're everywhere. Also, like a lot of others touched on, a lot of the drivers give the car a bad name.

Very very true. I am in the market for a new car and I want to get another mustang. I had thought about going economical and getting some sort of swapped or fi civic, but I dont want to be looked at as that kind of stereotype. I know there is the stereotype that goes along with the mustang too, but at least I will have torque!

Of course, if I was going to buy an American car, it'd have to be a rumbling V8. I can't afford the gas for one tho.

thats why i got the V6. I put out more HP than they do (not right now of coarse) and i get 27-30 mpg on the hwy

Oh, I can understand the logic behind opting for the V6. It's just the traditional mindset and perspective of "American Muscle" that would force me to get a V8. I know that if I got a V6, I'd never be happy with it.
