Default No 500 for me... for now

Well, finally got the dyno sheets scanned, ended up with 470rwhp and 443ft-lbs. Not much more than what I made before, but the entire power curve is up quite a bit from last time... and it was about 40 degrees hotter outside this time around heh. Oh well, I'm not too disappointed... I'll hit 500 sometime later, I'm gonna be happy with it as is for a while and give my wallet time to refill lol..

I also have a video of the dyno runs if I can ever get my firewire port working...

You did get quite a bump in the midrange. I would imagine the seat of the pants feeling is quite a bit different although the peak numbers didn't change much.

Yup... the numbers may not say it, but you can feel the difference heh.. now i just need some tires... these bfg g-forces just aren't cuttin' it. you get anywhere near full throttle and it just shreds the tires, atleast in 1st and 2nd gear.

never... lol.. I know lots of people have luck with it, but I'll never put nitrous on any car I own. I didn't pay $3000+ for my blower and all the fuel components (injectors, pump, regulator, etc) to blow my motor up with nitrous = P

My uncle's got an 81 El Camino that he's built w/ a 383. He put in a 3.73 w/ the Turbo 350 and couldn't do shit. He dropped back to a 3.42 but kept the 3.73 in case he can find a good 700R4.

Ya... 3.73 with the tremec 3550 tranny is a pretty good combo.. with an auto I'd go with some lower gears, 4.10's or maybe somethin' a bit lower... atleast on a 5.0, I got no experience with the chevys = P

haven't had a chance to run it on the track since i got the blower put on (january)... but an educated guess (not mine... lol) was that with drag radials it'd be low 7's in the 1/8th... dunno about the 1/4... probably low 12's high 11's.

Well, for now I think I'm just gonna save up and get the hood, spoiler, and paint done... but thats gonna be awhile lol. It's gonna sit at 470 for awhile... well I take that back, I'm gonna go up to a 75mm throttle body, but that isn't gonna add too much lol, maybe 3-5rwhp if i'm lucky lol.. next big motor mod will probably be swapping the gt40 intake out for the holley systemax intake... and maybe changin' the aluminum edelbrock heads out for some afr's... but like i said, thats gonna be awhile unless I get a sudden lump sum of cash handed to me haha.

Those are some great looking #'s. I love to see clean, strong running fox bodies. I'm currently debating if i should put a kb on my car, or just go the ported blower route and save some $. I know that I will eventualy have a kb since all of this hp is addictive.

nope... thats what i just changed out... went to a 3" reichard blower pulley.. still the stock crank pulley. any smaller and I'll need to run race fuel... which I'm not gonna do, since this is basically my daily driver.

thats not bad numbers for your setup(from what I can tell from the pics)

I'm sure with some colder air and some tunning you will be able to push it over the 500hp mark

damn,i would think you should be making over 500 with that much boost on an S-trim. Are you running a chip or just adjusting timing with the distributor?

Nah no chip.. just bumpin' the timing and messin' with the fuel. He said this was a "cautious" tune cause he's worried about havin' the smaller pulley without havin' race gas... runs fine as it is tho so I'm not gonna complain heh.
