    Default riddle... kinda strange

    just got this in some spam mail but it works and its strange.....

    This riddle must be done IN YOUR HEAD and NOT using paper and a pen. Try it!

    Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000.

    Now add 30. And another 1000.

    Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10.

    What is the total?

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...










    Did you get 5000? Way to go... most of us do, join the crowd!

    But you know what? We're all wrong!

    The correct answer is actually 4100. Don't believe it?
    Check it with a calculator or on paper!

    The brain sure knows how to play little tricks on us, doesn't it?

    i've always done math in my head...i got the right answer but went about it a little different way:
    add up all the 1000's >> 1000+1000+1000+1000=4000
    then add up whats left >>40+30+20+10=100

    add the two together, 4100.

    duh?

    thats how i add, when i explain it to people they look at me sideways. i explain that the simple way to do it instead of complicating it..

    easy stuff... .... Mind playing tricks on you.. Im with spyder, Do math at work all day long...

    What fucks up people is simple...

    Most people will count in there head like this....
    Instead of Counting 1000 + 40 + so and so, they will say 100+ 40 = 140+100+30+100+20+100+10= 500 and then your brain adds a 0 wich makes you think an shit... 5000... negative captain.
