The exhaust doesn't give THAT much on a N/A car; even the Vette. Putting in a new CAM is where you gain your hp.

Keep in mind that the GTR beat the C6 Z on the ring. Keep in mind that Audi has been banned from many circuit races because of their AWD setup; it was such an advantage. Now, when you talk about F1 cars, no, but in circuit races depending on the class, AWD shines.

i have never driven a GTR (obviously) but it seems to be more of a super fast street car where the vette can be driven on the street, but id rather keep it on the track. but i have heard about ppl saying they are to twitchy. idk y. seems fine to me

I said DEPENDING ON CLASS when I made my statement. *sigh* If weight is a concern, then AWD is out. That's common sense.

In 1995, Audi was banned from BTCC because the Audi Quattro was unbeatable.

In 1989, Audi was basically banned from the SCCA Trans Am series (If I remember correctly, AWD was banned). Audi dominated the 1988 TA series despite rule change(s) during the season that reduced Audi's horsepower. Note: Audi came into the season with less horsepower and more weight than (most) of their competitors.

From quick googleing, it appears that AWD is banned in many racing series (from what I can tell: American Le Mans, Grand Am, GTS and every open wheel series) because it is considered an "unfair advantage".
In the series where AWD is allowed, there is usually a significant weight penalty and many times a tire size penalty as well.

a C5 is nothing compaired to a C6. really. the C5 felt weird to me at first. no real feel to it.

and i see what u are talking about with the supercars. it has to have that wow feel to it in all aspects

Mr. Matthew, you seem to have a pretty big chip on your shoulder. Considering you're a newb and the company you have right now, you should be far more humble than cocky.

It's old because you want everyone to forget about your dumb move. Maybe you shouldn't have talked so much in that thread then, huh? Better yet, not pulled that kind of move in the first place.

It's ironic that you're not old enough to drink, yet you're arguing with a man that has owned cars you can only DREAM of ever having let alone drive. That makes you cocky and a fool in my book.

and yeah, im young and yeah i cant drink (i could care less), and yeah i dont drive a fancy car. but i dont have money like some people. and that is great for them. but im fine with what i drive. and i know that it was bought with MY money so that make me proud. and about the cars i havent driven?? u might have driven some street cars that i havent before but i know a lot of cars that ive driven on a track that u havent. and u seem to be cocky urself.

Driving a car a lap around some parking lot or some track doesn't make it either A: your car, nor B: enough to make you an authority about it.

Listen, I've been DRIVING longer than you've been ALIVE. So I seriously doubt you have any car experience that I couldn't trump you on. I've OWNED, not borrowed to drive a hot lap on the track, and RACED more cars than you could fathom. I was running real fast cars back when lap belts hung on two clips on the headliner. You probably have no clue what that is, do you? Since you're a newb around here, you should probably eat a little humble pie before walking around with some kind of king ding-a-ling chip on your shoulder. Ruiner and LF were right all along. It took you pages to figure out what we all knew since the beginning.

Why am I "cocky"? Because I called YOU that? Talk about original.
