a 94 miata would have 2 airbags so you removed them for racing.

    Read and learn:
"On July 11, 1984, the U.S. government required cars being produced after April 1, 1989 to have driver's side air bags or automatic seat belts (the automatic seat belt was a technology, now discarded, that "forced" motorists to wear seatbelts). Airbag introduction was stimulated by the U.S. DOT.[6] However, airbags were not mandatory on trucks until 1995.[citation needed]

In 1998, dual front airbags were mandated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and de-powered, or second-generation air bags were also mandated. This was due to the injuries caused by first-generation air bags that were designed to be powerful enough to restrain people who were not wearing seatbelts."

I believe 2006 was the last year of production, with a total run of about 1250 cars. However, they originally planned on 1500, yet the sales weren't what they expected so they lessened the production amount.

"Originally a production run of 1,500 cars was planned. But Porsche announced in August, 2005 that it would not continue production of the Carrera GT through 2006, citing discontinuation was due to changing airbag regulations in the US. As of May 6, 2006, 1,270 GT's had been manufactured, with 604 being sold in the United States.[4]"

The GTR will be the same price plus it will have AWD. The twin turbo setup will cater to mods very easily.

The interior of the Vette upsets me. Remember, I come from having 911 turbo and a Land Rover; both of which had VERY nice interiors.

Its a shame too, the exterior looks great, and obviously the performance is fantastic. It would be a great overall car if the interior was up to snuff.

I HATE AWD! as a DD its ok but on a track it blows. and the vette takes mods very easy. idk how much a exhaust gives but its A LOT on a vette

    but the interior....yeah it sucks.

Underlined part is cool and all, but nevertheless the point is is that its not in production at all anymore. See here, http://www.sybarites.org/2006/05/11/...-gt-production
