once again, not going to church and seeing what churchs do makes you not see what they are really doing. my church has an out reach at least twice a week and during that time its open to the homeless, jobless, and pretty much anyone that wants to come. they are given Food, blankets and are able to hear Gods word. Also, they are given food for their time in the week. usually about a 2 X 3 1/2 X 3 deep full of food for the week. and why not buy a warehouse?
well, since you already have a church built are you going to build a seperate building where you will need to spend more money to get that kinda place wired, set up, plus you'll now be taking your parking that you have since you only have a small bit of land to use already so by building that warehouse you now have no where for people to park so it was pointless in the first place even build it.
Also, lets say you're going to go to church. do you want to go into a cold damp feeling warehouse or are you going to want to come into a warm, soft chair'd church? They buildings do look now, and thats not a bad thing. you're saying that the money should be sent other places like out reaches.... well it is. and that church's are expanding and instead of shooting ourselves in the foot and taking away the parking we have for our members we are simply expanding and still adding services due to the amount of members we have. Also the money does go to help the community. Go find a church thats right for you and get involved and you might just find out what churchs really do
instead of guessing that churches are screwing everyone over, not helping anyone but them selves out.
much love -jm
