The less you expect, the more gets done. In most cases. I'm the type that doesn't expect to come home to dinner. I'm the type that doesn't expect to come home to a clean house. But I do come home to those things. Expectations on some levels can be detrimental and bring forth resentment thus you receiving the exact opposite of what you were expecting. Later, QD.

Dan is the same way. He doesn't care what I do all day (I don't have kids but I also don't "work"). He does, however, come home to a clean house and a cooked dinner....then I go party since I don't have kids.

I think that's just the way I am. I come from trailer park and am the oldest of 10 so I had to take care of a lot my whole life. Once I grew up and got on my own I had to work so hard. I used to work from 10 or 11am til 4am, 5 or 6 days a week (waiting tables and that ain't no walk in the park). I did that for like 12 years. I used to pray for an easier life and promised that if it did ever get easier I would keep my house clean...LOL. So that's what I do.

I think that a housewife is expected to do whatever the married couple agree on It's a partnership and negotiations are sometimes in order. No one is a mind reader.
