ive got family in israeli military and have of my extened family has liven in israel. There really is no perfect solution, its something weapons can never fix. There are people in that region that are on both sides that feel the issue is getting old and its time to move on. Until that view spreads, nothing will help it.

I think Israel should give the Gaza up and the land they took, But in return the Palestine government and people need to recognize them as a country with a right to exsist (Which they dont right now) and both sides need to leave eachother the **** alone.
Amazes me how no middle eastern country can just be peaceful, I guess they are bred to hate eachother.
Israel can wipe them off the face of the earth if they wanted to, Remember they have our weapons but just made them better then we do, Our planes, etc all much better then when we sold it to them, They have shown great restraint in not fully opening some whoop ass. If I was them I would have blown the palestine land away years ago.

The fact of the matter is that the fighting in that area has been going on for awhile now, over what others feel is important but that I think is asinine.....I don't think an amicable solution will be reached anytime soon, and not without unfortunate bloodshed from both sides.The Jews need to realize that the Muslims have just as much right to exist as they do. I'm sure for all the media coverage that we see of Muslim extremists carrying out acts of violence that the Isreali's are not completely innocent either.
Uprooting ppl out of their homes and persecuting them for their religious beliefs seems to be a recurring theme for Jews.
I have no idea who's the dominating one and what not. I basically am confused to the highest.

My stance is the Jews have been and will continue to defend themselves against extinction. This conflict ins't about land or getting there country back. Anyone who says give them back the Gaza Strip is ignorant. When Israel was formed they were given much much less land then the Arabs were given. The conflict is about exterminating the Jews always has been always will be. The Arabs already have control of the mount in Jerusalem, their great holy site. Hitler enlisted the aid of the Arabs in WWII. Arab nations refused to give refuge to the Jews unlike Israel who gives Arabs rights in Israel unlike other Arab countries. This conflict has been going on since the crusades and will continue to go on for centuries. You cannot win a fight when the fight is about exterminating an entire people off this earth. There will always be war in the middle east unless all the Jews leave and even then I would suspect they would just be hunted down in other parts of the world since it is not about getting land back it's about extermination. The Palestinians never had the land to begin with so how can they want it back?
That is my stance. You want to exterminate a whole race of people then prepare to have blood shed. There is no man stronger then a man defending his home and this is why Israel is as strong as they are today.

After having taken some classes in dealing the Middle East and its culture, I have barely began to scratch the surface of the true nature of the conflict. I agree with what you say about defending one's self, or people/country in this case, and say that those who believe this is an "ignorant" fight over land and what not ought to learn and analyze the true nature of the conflict, which I believe is over the a people's existence and right to defend themselves.
Honestly, put yourself in their shoes (either people), would you want someone to extinguish you, your culture, your family, your country over...?
I am leaving that open because everyone has a different belief over this matter, so insert your meaning/cause of this conflict. Then answer the question.

Umm fyi nobody gave arabs their land. They lived there for thousands of years, then all of a sudden it got taken away, arabs got kicked out and the land was given to the jews. Israel was formed because Jews did not have a country of their own before. At one point they even considered making israel in south america, but the middle east was preferred (bad idea) because of the obvious religious meaning of that land. What if they had decided that the new jewish state was the state of GA? Everybody had to move out because Atlanta is now jew country, how would u have felt?
Why did the jews need a country of their own? Because anywhere they lived, they were persecuted by christians. But since the superpowers of the world at that time were all christian societies, they decide to dump the problem on the muslims, away from europe.
A muslim, jew, or christian is not one bit better than the other.

When an empire has been defeated the land has to be dealt with. They were given their land back. Also Israel was land of the Jews thousand of years ago. This land was returned to them. Just like Jerusalem went back and forth from Muslim to Christian control during the crusades. This is just an extention of that conflict. Anyone who is ignorant enough not to believe should really read history. I never once said anyone was better then anyone else, please enlighten me to where I said that. When it comes down to one race trying to exterminate another race I will take sides. Religion is the root of almost every conflict in this world and that is where the problem lies.
Regardless, who gave the "Zionists" permission to make settlements in an already established country, Palestine. Believe it or not it was a fully functional country with a decent middle class, flourishing industry, but at the turn of the century, settlements were made.... Back then they were merely immigrants, so they got along fine... but then the whole idea of Zionistic Occupation came along, and now they claimed ownership of the land which previously belonged to Palestinians, Who gives them the right to bulldoze Palestinian neighborhoods and build their settlements.
One of my best friends is a Palestinian refugee, so I may be partial, but his first hand recollection of stories really angers me to another level.
I hate the country of Israel with a passion now, everything about it... How they are continuing to kill innocent women and children... How the US gives Israel more foreign aid than it does to all of the other countries in Africa, South/Central America combined... On a country the seize of a walnut- has the 5th biggest military? If anything its more strategic placement by the US. Who can care less about the actual people, its just a chess move...
Who cares about the whole "boo hoo" card. Jews were persecuted... as was almost every race/religion since the history of time. Does that give them permission to colonize on land which belongs to another country, like an invasion, then basically take over... WTF? If the Palestinians were such war-faring people, why would they have taken this... they would have went ape**** instantly, but because the US and GB had Israel's back, they went passive, and just let it be... until its to a point of despair past the breaking point.
There was no country of Palestine. The middle east was an empire it was not until it's fall that countries were born. This is where Iraq, Lebanon and the others came from. This was not the first empire to fall in the world. That is how the wrold worked before today. Yes today if what happened happened things would be different. Back then this was commoin place and the Arabs did the same when they could. You can hate the Jews all you want but you are just believing the leftist bull**** they spread. The jews are not blowing up schools, raping little girls, killing innocent people who have no part in what is going on. They are not cowards who come out of the shadows to fight and then retreat when it gets to tough. The "Palestinians" had every chance to build a peaceful wonderful society. Did they? Hell no they decided to be war mongers who's only purpose in life is to destroy the Jews. This is not true for everyone of them but the majority it is.
Why the hell should we give any country foreign aid? It is not the world's choice who get aid from us it is ours. I could care less if we stopped providing aid to countries who have nothing but hate for us. If we want to give our friends Israel aid then so be it and we are better off for it. Why should we give an African country aid only for them to tak ethe money for themselves and not help the people. Why should we help a country that wants us destroyed?
Israel has the 5th largest military in order to keep itself from being exterminated and we are helping these poeple stay alive. I say give them more so they can deal with the problem they have on their hands. No matter what anyone does the bloodshed will continue. We give them land and they want more. They want this and get it now they want this. The actual moral of the story is a 1 world religion which is Islam, at any cost. Are you willing to submit to that? Do you want to sell your 11 year old daughter to a 40 year old farmer? Do you want to pay a tax to practice christianity? Do you want you wife tortured when she is raped by another man? I sure as hell don't.
Why don't you speak out against the Arabs killing women and children? You think the Jews kiling a few during a battle is anything compared to the world wide murders of women and children by Arabs? I am not against any race but call it what it is.

Again there was no Palestine in the sense you want ot make it out to be. An empire was conquered and instead of taking it's people relocating them different countries were built for these people. The smallest portion went to the Jews and the Arabs did not like that. Now they want to destroy them as well as Christianity. From the sound of things you are definitely anti American policy and the current government and you have every right to be. This is a free country where doing so is a right unlike most arab countries.
Also if you study history you will find out that the Arabs were not the most peaceful race on this planet at anytime. Not that the Europeoons were angels by any means. Don't try to make that part of the world a great place to live during history.
