    They're an advance race from the future, of course they can! They still live in the forest too.

    They arent really dead though, They have some kind of powder that slows down your heart, breathing, etc to make it appear you are dead and when it wears off you get up and just walk off, but if the wrong doasge is given, You will not get back up, or wake up.
