i went through the same last year when my cousin sustained major brain damage and reading your posts was like walking step by step through past. I have seen everything moment by moment...it isn't easy. I was with him when they took the breathing tubes out, i saw the heart rate drop...i saw him goin away. I can only imagine what you friend's family was/is going through. I'll keep Rachel's family in my prayers. She is in a better place.
