No, you don't (for the places that I listed). However, if you want to carry it under the seat or on you in your vehicle, you do.

Now, if you are under 21 and carrying it, good luck with jailtime. Under 21 with a gun in your car, no matter where it is = you will spend some time behind bars and/or get shot by the police. I wouldn't fuck around like that if I were you.

A rifle you can get away with. A pistol, no. What confused me was the permit question. That really only applies to handguns. I know that there are other rules about carrying rifles, though.
