Your hair does not grow faster if you cut it. Your hair is a part of your blood system and is already dead so there for cutting off the ends does nothing but make it look healthier. You can stimulate new growth by massaging your scalp but thats about it. You can take vitamins and other suppliments that once in your system your blood stream can provide these extra nutriants causing your hair to grow faster. Your "roots" are actually inside of your scalp aka follicles....

a lot of it can have to do with what you eat and what meds you take. this is why when ppl are doing chemo their hair can fall out bc the meds are in their blood stream and its like poison. It is actually very interesting. I got to learn pretty much everything that has to do with the human body.
