I explained why in the mod forum... but I don't want to air it out in here.. let people make their own decisions. Not that this thread will impact anything though.
I don't expect it to impact anything. I'm just speaking my mind. It was brought to my attention, by Chris, that I have only met Chris once and only know him from the WL. Considering this is IA and the WL is 99% of where all of the action goes down and he has been chosen as IA super mod, I think I know all I need to know. I might have to be a little more informed on how he is in his every day life if I was voting for him for president of the US. The fact is, he is not respected enough on here to be a Super Mod. If the point is to clean up IA, which I am savvy enough to understand, then I feel he was a poor choice.
I have nothing against Collins and think he is a decent guy, why don't we just add him to the list of super mods while we are at it if this is the route we are going to take? I know you get the point.
It also must be pretty nice to say some dumb stuff and then delete it. I thought we were trying to get away from mods abusing their powers. Now I'm even more confused.
I feel that being a mod shouldn't be looked at like its the best thing ev4r! Just see if he's a good mod or not. If things slip up then whatever happens, happens. Not a big deal. I chose, I don't care.
If you see it as not a big deal, then why even have mods? He's already proven he's not a good mod, IMO. 2 examples have happened in the last hour.

Why was this thread locked? Because he didn't like what I said? What was the rule violation? It should be a really simple black and white answer. Rules are rules and mods are here to enforce them, correct? Mods should be impartial and unbiased, even tempered and logical...even when it includes them. They should be a well respected part of the community they are moderating.
agreed... also im not a mod for reasons to Moderate... im a mod because it comes with the job.

It's an issue to me, a long time member of this site...which you should understand and respect...as a super mod.
I don't think you should be a super mod. I have nothing else against you, never have. I have never bad mouthed you in any way...PERIOD and I know you can vouch for that. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word spoad, so for that I was wrong. Other than that, if the REAL point is to clean up I and start marketing it....I feel that a super mod should be a respected member of the community, which you are not. They should also be level headed and able to handle their emotions, which in handling this issue with me you have not been able to do. Like I said, I don't own IA, so in the end it's not my decision.
I happen to enjoy the fact that IA is so open minded. That's the main reason that I care and also the main reason I spend so much time here. There have been MANY occasions in the past years that myself and our shop have had people say things about us openly and in writing for all to read. I have had to accept that as part of IA if I want to be able to enjoy the same privilege on this site. I think unnecessary and unprovoked stalking of a member should be eliminated. I also feel like there shouldn't be bashing in the noob section on their first post...but I feel whole heartedly that you should be able to voice your opinion. I am simply doing that.
I would like to know why the thread I referred to was locked. Maybe if it's justified, it will help me feel a little better.

Read the rules... im just doing my job as a mod ok.
i was given supermod rights and i feels as though i have yet to abuse them... if anything the 2 major rules have been broken already and thats bitching about mods and bashing mods.... all i did was lock them. If I thought it was a big deal then im sure julio and pablo would have started banning by now....
I have not said anything bad about anyone on this site... i just protect myself and my rights as a mod just like any other mod would.
Just because the heat is coming from a site sponsor doesnt give that sponsor any special rights to talk **** to or about a mod... not saying you have tracy but the threads i locked were definatly leading to that.
i want nothing more than to promote this site and make it bigger and better. if anyone wants otherwise then vote no.... im doing my best to take the skills i use from day job and using them to promote, advertise, and market IA.... if im gonna get flamed for that then something just isnt right imo.

I have yet to throw around my "status" as a site sponsor. You are the one who keeps bringing that up. I have only expressed my concerns as a long time member and I have been clear about that SEVERAL times. I did not bash you. I expressed my opinion without cursing and I kept it to my opinions and feelings. You are not the psychic Cleo. You don't know what the thread was leading to. When I am being serious and expect to be taken seriously, I am pretty good at keeping things factual and keeping myself within the boundaries. You should probably do some re-reading just to inform yourself on what really happened in the thread you locked.
What you did in the new members section was warranted being that what I said was off topic...you could have, however, split the thread. Instead you chose to keep what you wanted to say in (the smart alec comments about the stickers on the SEMA car and whether or not I pay to advertise on IA...pretty unprofessional according to your job title with IA now) and delete what I said that you didn't like until I called you out on what you had done. I saved the page in case it becomes an issue with Julio and Paul.
P.S. Please proof read your responses. That is something you should get used to while using your skills to market this site. Everything you write should be treated the same way any memo in an office setting would be.

The only issue i see is u getting on here bitching about Julio and Pauls decision on bringing me aboard. Maybe if you spoke to either of them before you even started all of this you would understand a little better whats going on. U didnt want to wait apparently.

ok since its not an issue.... Julio already deleted a thread about this once. Julio and Paul chose me for a reason. If you arent happy with it... take it out on them. This falls under the "Bitching about mods" rule so its being soft deleted.... but don't worry, They can still read it tomorrow when they get on.

wow.. **** had hittith the fan.... chris.. i have been a mod here for awhile now.. over a year or so.. I got bashed on bad.. even by other mods and NONE of my **** got locked.. EVER.. and it went for double digit pages at times.. and my ass is still here and I am even cool with a few of the people who used to bash me.. In the JL i have seen you make NUMEROUS post over old issue about better the site, when that issue has been brought up, talked about, decided on, and be done with.
