Numbers wise, when I check my webstats (which is often) Import Atlanta is always at the top as far as where our hits are coming from. We average 300k unique visitors a month with several thousand hits coming from Import Atlanta per month. We even have crap talking that constantly goes on about us and as far as I'm concerned, Import Atlanta has still played a huge part in getting the good word out about our shop. To me Import Atlanta has an extremely far reach. There are tons of members and word spreads from here to people that aren't members of the site. It's an information source for whats going on in this demographic. Cussing doesn't change that. I have always been one for freedom of speech. I think IA represents the community just the way it is. It's very honest. People on IA don't hold back so you aren't getting some canned, politically correct mumbo jumbo. You are getting raw, uncut views. I like it. That's just me as a person though. I've said it before on here. Implement some sort of "Supporting Member" status where you pay a minimal monthly fee for added privileges such as larger sig, more PM space, hell even make reps count for more. Try that and see how much money you make from members willing to pay $1.50 a month to keep IA how they want it compared to selling out for some sponsor.
We did the same system on WRXatlanta and it works very well. We only have a handful of sponsors so it made a very large difference, on here maybe not so much but any money is still money in your pocket.

I think it should be censored for non-members maybe? Have it show up as "******" for unregistered or not logged in members. Maybe something similar to what SA has done, just no subbing words. Or even a small charge for those who want their "freedom of expression". IMO don't bitch about Freedom of expression and all thats hit, when you can't even express how you feel about important issues (Mods, rules, etc.) in a negative way.

I dont cuss myself and honestly do not like it but I do come on IA KNOWING what to expect. I can choose not to come here if I want to. But in the long run....if it will put some money in your pocket...go for it! And anyone on here in the same situation would do the same. Plus, stepping up to some bigger sponsors might be the stepping stone to something even bigger that will put more cash in your pocket. I hate to say it like this but if you can benefit from the YEARS of hard work you have put into IA...and all it requires is a little censorship...then so be it. BUT....if you are going to do this, then how would you maintain a section like the RLD? Censoring cuss words but having a pornographic section is kinda like eating 2 Big Macs and a large fry but drinking a diet coke cause your "watching your weight".
