We need to be smarter and watch who we let in here and stop policing other countries imo. we definitely gotta take care of our own before fucking around with the world. And we definitely need to work on home security without trying to circumvent our civil rights like parts of the patriot act tried to do. we forgot what it was like giving up civil rights thanks to fear when Mcarthy was deeming who and who isnt american. Anybody exercising their opinion about this country is american period whether or not you disagree its called freedom of speech. And every idiot who decided to throw stones at people for being against going to war needs to remember that. Personally i hope we do get the bastards eventually but we need to be smarter in doing so. 5 years and we still havent found bin laden. yet we found saddam in a ditch.. we need to get shit together cuz i personally do not want to go to another family funeral over this. Its one thing I think we havent gotten down right. personally i noticed that throughout history when one country's people get fed up with how they're treated they revolt and things change. I think we need to let them figure shit out for themselves and help only when its going to seriosly affect us like afghanistan after the attacks. we were on the right path but we took a wrong step goin to iraq. I still dont see the signifigance there at all. i have 5 cousins and 7 friends over there serving at the moment and i wish i could serve but I couldnt sign up. If we dont learn from this history will repeat itself again. Like in 93 when bin laden first bombed the wtc. so before you go shootin off at the mouth readd up first.
my personal experience on that day was goin to spanish class when my friend said a helicopter hit the pentagon and the plane hitting the world trade. As soon as we got to class I saw the second plane and just knew this wasnt a cooincidence so I called every cousin I had that lived in the dc area and my gf at the time who was at her grandmothers in nYc. I was soo damn worried man my cousin worked a few blocks from the pentagon and another for the department of defense and was supposed to go that day but stayed home sick. My gf's dad was a fireman that went up there so I ended up texting her all day to make sure she was ok. i dont think i'll ever forget that along with other incidents like this that happen in our lifetime. i worry more cuz a lot of my family is military so and a few have been in a lot of shit that has gone down over the years so when shit like this happens i know they're goin to be gone a while and while they're out the least I can do is vote someone into office that isnt a moron. every generation has something liek this happen with my mom it was the tail end of vietnam when she was little, my grandparents had nam and WWII. and none of them forgot what they did at that moment shit hit the fan so i doubt anybody here would forget 9/11 no matter what
