    yeah.... unlike all of the other D17 owners out there i find dumping money into a motor that at the most N/A will dish out 120whp w/ every bolt on is a waste of money...

    Also i coulda bought a rolling chassis for $800 and spent another $4000 on a boosted swap and have Twice the amount of hp for less than $5000 for a car.....


    Instead i have a total of about $24000 spent on/for my car....

    after nopi is over and winter gets here i'll be building the bottom end and boosting the D17.....

    I hate the fact that I could own 3 cars w/ 300+ whp rather than having a 100whp D17 for the same price... sux for me

    i have a plastic Intake Manifold and the head on the D17 is worthless...

    THe D16 and D17 have nothing that is interchangable. THe Y8 Intake manifold can go on the D17 w/ some modding but thats about it.

    There are no aftermarket I/Ms for the D17... they have to be custom fabricated.

    W/ P&P head, custom I/M, Pistons, Turbo, cam, etc... i can get that 1.7l 90whp up to about 350whp after about $7000-$10000

    Dezod has a EM2 w/ a D17 that Dynoed at 378whp... only about $5000-$7000 invested in that car.
