The auto manufactors are normally generous when it comes to their vehicles with all the maintenence records and very high mileage to buy them back. They normally film it going over 1 million, disassemble it and use it as a study point for future vehicles. A buddy of mine had over 700k Miles on a Chevy Astro all original engine and trans and he decided to junk it. About a week after he did that, he got a letter from GM inquiring about the vehicle wanting to buy it back. He was disappointed in his own actions.
